
A Superbrands book is published by the company for each country or region in question and each brand receives a two page presentation as part of the package. The book is a very high quality large format coffee table style publication and each brand receives copies for their own use.
Brands may also decide to take a custom cover and extra copies of the book so that it can be used for internal promotion or as a corporate giveaway to clients, suppliers, shareholders and staff. Additional copies of the book are also distributed by Superbrands, both internationally and locally, to individuals and organisations that have an interest in branding and wish to get an insight into how these brands achieved their status in each particular market.
Copies are provided on a complimentary basis to journalists, researchers, business schools, hospitality lounges, and libraries.
THE EAST AFRICAN SUPERBRANDS BOOKS
As the only book of its kind dedicated exclusively to the country’s leading brands, the Superbrands East Africa Volumes are set to become the local marketing community’s premier source of information on how great brands become Superbrands.
Volume One was published in October 2008, and showcases many of East Africa's exceptional brands. The book opens with expert comment from the Superbrands Council on "What makes a Superbrand?" and then goes on to explore the history, development and achievements of these brands, revealing extraordinary findings along the way. Each brand is presented in a double page, full colour feature which together tell the fascinating and insightful stories of East Africa’s Superbrands.
A diverse selection of industry sectors are featured in Volume One of the book, ranging from FMCGs through to corporate giants. Many key international brands are featured alongside some of East Africa’s strongest home-grown brands and the presence of education, tourism and non-profit organisations as well as beverages and sporting brands make Superbrands a fascinating and accurate reflection of the East African way of life.
